I have fished the Potomac River since moving to VA in 2001, and since that time I have become quite a fan of fishing a frog on the massive grass beds that line the rivers banks. I have also been searching for that perfect frog rod. I have tried over a dozen different makes from different companies and had yet to find what I was looking for in a perfect frog rod. A rod that had the back bone to winch one of the Potomac's many quality fish out of some of the thickest nastiest grass you can imagne. They were either to stiff and caused me to miss to many fish or they were to light of action and wouldn't allow me to haul in the fish plus the many pounds of grass that come with it. I was wanting a rod with a somewhat soft tip, but had plenty of back bone, and I finial found actually what I was looking for in Kipper Sticks "Frog" rod. At 7'3" it has the power to pull bass through the thickest grass, but is soft enough to allow the tip to load up upon the strike. This combination gives me total confidence that I have the right tool in my hand when froggin on the Potomac! Thanks Kip and Sonja for making what I have found to be the perfect "Frog Rod"!
